All public Buffalo Boat Tours cruises depart from Central Wharf at Canalside, 44 Prime Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. The booth is on the Canalside boardwalk near the brown wooden Longshed building. Plan extra time for parking and walking to the dock.

01 · Arrival

Arrive 30 minutes early.

Check in at the Canalside booth and be ready to board 15 minutes before departure. Cruises leave on time, so allow time to park, walk to the booth, and find your group.

02 · Parking

Give yourself time to park.

Street parking may be available on Lloyd Street, Hanover Street, or Prime Street. Paid lots are available under the Skyway along Pearl Street, Commercial Street, and Marine Drive. The LECOM Harborcenter parking ramp is at 100 Washington Street. Parking fees may apply.

03 · Onboard

Dress for the water.

The water may feel about 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than land. All vessels have a restroom and a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bagged snacks are available for purchase. Outside food, beverages, coolers, large duffle bags, and large tote bags are not allowed.

Policies

Know before you reserve

The details below apply across the public cruise program unless a specific departure says otherwise.

Weather

Cruises operate rain or shine unless the captain cancels for safety. Covered areas are available on the vessels. If a captain cancels because of unsafe conditions, guests may be offered a reschedule or refund.

Public cancellations

Public-cruise reservations are non-refundable, but may be rebooked when notice is given at least 24 hours before departure. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are not eligible for rebooking or credit. Trip Protection may provide a separate refund path.

Children and infants

Children are welcome unless a cruise is labeled adults-only or has an age restriction. Child and adult life vests are carried, but infant-specific life vests are not available. Children under 3 can attend free but still require an infant ticket at checkout.

Food and beverages

Outside food and beverages are not allowed. Each vessel has a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and bagged snacks for purchase. Payment methods and tax treatment are shown in the current booking flow.
